Complete House Remodel
This client wanted to keep the original look of the Eichler style home while also improving the functionality of the space as we expanded it. Improvements were made in the windows, insullation and flooring to maximize the energy efficiency within the home. The custom milled walnut wall paneling is mirrored throughout the inside and outside of the home. The 100% custom cabinets are grain matched so that the pattern of the plywood matches from floor to ceiling. A lot of time and energy went into making sure many of the features are aligned properly while serving the functions the client was looking for.
Modern Upgrades
Our clients bought this Eichler and wanted nothing more than to uncover the modern bones. Exposing and polishing the concrete floor, painting the beams to contrast the wood tongue and groove ceiling and installing modern finishes throughout the home helps to set this particular Eichler apart from the rest of the houses in it's Orinda neighborhood. Traditional Overhaul
This remodel in Orinda extended to more than just the interior; during this vast renovation the entry to the house was moved from its original location on the side, to the more desirable front of the house. A new gable end and expansive porch were added to further enhance the front facade. It's safe to say that from the street this house is unrecognizable. Inside is no different; a brand new entry with coat closet and powder bath were added that frame the new open open kitchen and family room. Finishing touches in the formal dining and living rooms complete the renovation.
